Update on Janet

Entrepreneur: Janet Ntege
Location: Location Undisclosed, Uganda

A loan officer recently met with Janet Ntege to get an update on her loan. Janet’s business of selling newspaper, cigarettes, sweets, envelopes and other stationary on the roadside is doing well. She has been able to pay her loan payments in addition to her rent and her license to sell.

Janet has also invested money into her business in order to grow her profits. Before working with MCDT, Janet was not well off, but since receiving her first loan she has been able to start her business and provide for her family. Specifically, she has been able to rent a house, provide her family with a nutritional diet and pay her children’s school fees.

Janet claims she has also learned how to work since facing the responsibility of paying back her loans. She hopes one day to be able to expand to a bigger market and increase her revenues so she can send her children to university.
