The group “Progreso” was formed 8 months ago and is in its third cycle of loans. The group has retained the majority of its initial members.

The women of this group have diverse productive businesses and they will use this loan as operating capital to increase what they are already achieving by purchasing more merchandise or ingredients to make their products as is the case for the women who sell food.

Among the businesses that these women dedicate themselves to are: the sale of food, fruits, vegetables, home goods, charcoal and hairdressing. Some are also dressmakers and others sell clothing.

Each one of these women hopes to give their children an education and to be able to give them good food and a good home environment. In addition to carrying out their role as mothers and wives they are also hard working and successful microentrepreneurs. They know that the current labor market becomes more competitive every day which is why they struggle so that their children will have the opportunity obtain a higher education.

They are asking for a new loan to invest in their business and keep progressing. Among the merchandise that they will purchase are: fruits such as oranges, bananas, pineapples, cantaloupes, watermelons and apples; tomatoes; lettuce; onions; carrots; charcoal; ingredients to prepare meals such as meat, milk, salt, flour; home goods and other hairdressing supplies.
