Thank you for your loan. It has been disbursed to Keo Lin by Hattha Kaksekar Limited (HKL) in Cambodia. We are excited to watch this business grow. Over the next 3 months, Hattha Kaksekar Limited (HKL) will be collecting repayments from this entrepreneur and posting progress updates on the Kiva website.

Mrs. Keo Lin used her kiva loan to purchase additional inventory of clothing. Now that her inventory is so diverse, she can attract more customers and sell more from her stall at the market. Her income has increased from approximately $2.50 per day, to $3 to $5 per day.

Now that her income has increased, she uses the additional money to purchase feed for her husband’s pig-breeding business. Previously, they had to depend on savings to purchase feed. In the future, Mrs. Lin plans to purchase more stock and continue to expand her clothing sales business. If necessary, she would like to take out another loan in the future to do so. Before Kiva, Mrs. Lin would depend on her mother to lend her money, but Hattha Kaksekar Limited is able to lend her much larger loan amounts to support her business.

When I asked her what her hopes for the future are, she simply told me that she wants to be rich! She is pictured below sitting on the table below her house.
