Divinas Group

In the city of El Alto, you will find the main group Villa Tejada, to which the "Divinas" (Divine Women) association belongs. It is comprised of 18 women who are willing to work with much persistence. The majority of them are married, and with an average of 5 children, they say that the wages of their husbands aren't enough, which is what obliges them to search for other means of income.

The main activity of this group is sewing or making clothes (leather and cloth jackets, pants, and dresses), sheathes, curtains, and sweaters woven by machine. They need better capital to buy raw materials, and in this way to obtain a larger stock of products and more income for their own benefit.

En la ciudad de El Alto se encuentra el centro focal de Villa Tejada al cual pertenece la asociación “Divinas” compuesta por dieciocho mujeres dispuestas a trabajar con mucho empeño.
La mayoría de ellas casadas y con un promedio de 5 hijos, afirman que el salario de sus esposos no les es suficiente, lo que les obliga a buscar otros ingresos.
La actividad principal de este grupo es la costura; confección de ropa (chamarras en cuero y tela, pantalones, vestidos), confección de fundas, cortinas y la confección de chompas tejidas a maquina. Necesitan mayor capital para la compra de materia prima, de esta manera conseguir un mayor stok de productos y por consiguiente mayores ingresos para su propio beneficio.
