Evans is the thirty-four year old married father of a three year old son. His wife is a hairdresser. He has been selling auto parts of different kinds for over twelve years. He will use the loan proceeds to purchase more clutch disks and pressure plates from Korea and Canada. In Ghana there are no auto parts stores, but there is a high demand for parts as the taxi networks are the main transportation option. His stand operates in an area of Accra called Abossey-Okai that is a conglomeration of hundreds of entrepreneurs who each sell specific auto parts.

Evans hopes that he is able to increase his sales volume and can set aside more money to prepare for his sonr’s school fees. Evans is a member of the lending group Respect. The lending group works as a type of social collateral where each member of the group applies pressure on other members to ensure repayment.

Thank you all for your financial support

Entrepreneur: Evans Adu

Evans is very happy to be part of Kiva and lenders family. He says that the loan has helped him a lot and wants to express his sincere and heart felt thanks to all who loan him money to inject into his automoblie spare parts business. He says the business is lucrative if one invest in the right goods. But retraited and said that currently the market is slow due to high prices in the products. He strongly believes that market would pick up as the harvest season is approaching, many cargo drivers would need spare parts for their vehicles to make them road worthy to cart foodstuffs from the hinterlands of Ghana. He says his daughter is doing very well and he has increased savings for her future devlopment.
