The group "Mujeres Luchadoras CDE" (Hardworking Women CDE) is 1 year old and has good savings accumulated due to the hard work and dedication from the women members, who are the group's strongest foundation.

The women who make up this group are engaged in various productive activities. They will use the loan as working capital to buy more goods, in some cases, or will use it as capital for product development.

The businesses featured include: sale of cosmetics (creams, makeup, colognes), selling clothes, selling fast food, selling chipas (typical meal Paraguayan made based on starch, cheese, flour and eggs), sale of purses made from polythene bags, etc.

These women yearn for a better future for their children - this is why they strive twice as hard to generate sufficient income to enable them to pay for their children's education. They want the country to move forward and to decrease the number of people who must migrate to other countries in search of job opportunities.

Translated from Spanish by Mayra Gould, Kiva volunteer.
