Mr. Song Sim is the Village Bank President of Sre Ompel II Village Bank, which consists of 28 members in the Kandal Province. He is 46 years old and is a subsistence farmer who usually works on a rice field. He is married with eight children, three of whom are working while the others are enrolled in school. His wife, Mrs. Srey Neang Chhom, is a housewife and she normally helps her husband work in the field. Because his family is very poor and because he has an insufficient number of farm equipment and draft animals, he is hereby requesting a loan to hire a laborer with draft animals to plow his rice field.
