Hana Taualai is a mother of four children from the village of Salamumu. Her business is working a plantation (taro) and making handicrafts like earrings made out of coconut shell,s etc. She’s from an extended family with a total number of 14 members. Apart from her earning money to support her family, her sister-in-law is employed in one of the surf resorts in their village. But she idoesn't earn much in that job. Hana's husband is unemployed, but gives great support to Hana and the business. She owns a 3- acre taro plantation, that also has coconut trees. With the profits from her requested loan, she plans to extend their family house to accommodate their extended family. She has successfully paid off all her previous loans, and is now requesting more financial support.
