Mayarie is 33 years old and is married with 5 children. Mayarie already received a loan from SMT and she used the loan proceeds to hire labour and to purchase rice seeds and fertilizer. Proudly, she claims that she harvested 15 bags of rice (i.e., 3 times as much as the 5 bags of rice she was harvesting before she received the loan from SMT). She is very happy and, even though she generates good income and her children have more food than before, she would still like to improve her farm. As such, Mayarie is seeking a loan of Le. 1,000,000 so that she can hire more labourers and purchase additional fertilizer.

A Journl Update For Mayerie Conteh

Entrepreneur: Mayarie Conteh
Location: Kabala, Sierra Leone

Mayerie Conteh is sending greetings to you from her home village called Koromasilia. Your borrower used the loan to buy seeds such as cabbages, tomatoes, carrot etc. She also used part of the loan to buy fertilizers and paid labor.

Out of the many crops she planted, Mayerie got a partial success only on the cabbages but for the rest of the crops, it was a bad harvest due to bad climatic conditions. Out of the little she got from the cabbage, she was able to assist herself and children and gradually repaid the loan.

Mayerie thanks you a lot for the loan and she is calling on you to continue giving her your support.

This new picture of Mayerie was taken at a newly inaugurated primary school in Koromasalia village. A school built for them by a Canadian lady called Betty. I hope you enjoyed your journal update. Thanks for lending to SMT clients. Please continue lending to our clients.
