Budumbuli West A (ii) Group

The group leader of this small group is Jane Nafuna. She is currently in the business of selling firewood and local brew and is requesting a loan to buy more brew drums. Jane is 30 years old and is a widow. She has 6 children ranging from age 3 months to 12 years old and most of her children go to school. Each week, Jane makes approximately UGX 450000 in profits and with the extra profits from her loan, she hopes to be able to pay the school fees for her children. Jane has taken a loan from BRAC Uganda before in the amount of UGX 400000 in order to invest in her business and the loan was paid back on time.

Jane is joined in her small group by Aisha Nairuba and Lukia Nabirye. Aisha Nairuba has a business selling matooke and wants to buy more matooke from the surrounding villages. Lukia Nabirye is currently operating a business milling and selling maize and wants a loan to purchase more sacks of maize.



About Group Loans
In a group loan, each member of the group receives an individual loan but is part of a group of individuals bound by a group guarantee.
