Budumbuli West A (i) Group

The group leader of this small group is Juliet Namuloyo. She is currently in the business of selling firewood and is requesting a loan to increase her stock of firewood. Juliet is 30 years old and is married with a husband who is a builder for work. She has 2 children aged 4 and 6, and her children go to school. Each week, Juliet makes approximately UGX 450000 in profits and with the extra profits from her loan, she hopes to be able to cater for her household necessities. Juliet has taken a loan from BRAC Uganda before in the amount of UGX 200000 in order to add to her business and the loan was paid back on time.

Juliet is joined in her small group by Rose Nakiwedo, Betty Nanyanzi and Sumayiya Mukwatili. Rose Nakiwedo has a business running a bar and wants to purchase more brew and beer. Betty Nanyanzi is currently operating a business selling fish and charcoal and wants a loan to buy more charcoal. Sumayiya Mukwatili operates a retail shop business and wants to add more commodities.



About Group Loans
In a group loan, each member of the group receives an individual loan but is part of a group of individuals bound by a group guarantee.
