Mrs. Sem Yi, 44, is a mother of six children and, with her husband, works as a farmer on a plot of land earning around $1.50 a day. Two of their children are married and live away from home. Two other children work as garment workers and earn a salary of $80 a month. This couple requests a loan from Kiva to purchase a motorbike for their two daughters who commute to work at a factory.
