Donatilda, Digna and Danitza have belonged to Communal Bank Mirachisun, which means "We Grow" in Quechua, for one year. As members of the bank they learn how to better administer their money, to save, and to be punctual and responsible.


Donatilda is married, 60 years old and has nine children, two of whom live with her. She has sold fruit at a local outdoor market for the past four years.


Digna is 40 years old with eight children and lives with her partner. She travels to the city once a week to sell tuna, regional breads and aromatic herbs, and depending on the season, brings back grapes to sell.


Danitza is single and 22 years old. Along with her parents, she has a restaurant "El Zunagro" where she sells cebiche, a popular regional dish made with fish and lime. She's also studying nursing at the local university.


Donatilda, Digna and Danitza need loans of $75, $150 and $75 to purchase mangos, grapes, bread, tuna, limes and fish.


Donatilda, Digna and Danitza all dream to have bigger businesses, to increase their profits and that they're children will grow up and be successful and independent.

Donatilda, Digna y Danitza pertenecen al Banco Comunal Mirachisun que significa “Hagamos Crecer” en quechua, hace 1 año.
En su Banco Comunal aprendieron a administrar bien el dinero, a ahorrar, ser puntuales y responsables.


Donatilda es casada tiene 60 años y 9 hijos de los cuales 2 viven con ella, Donatilda vende frutas de manera ambulante en el mercado Nery García, actividad que realiza hace 4 años.


Por otro lado Digna es conviviente, tiene 40 años y 8 hijos, Digna viaja al departamento de Ica una vez por semana, donde vende tuna, panes típicos de Ayacucho como “chapla”, hierbas aromáticas y de Ica dependiendo de las temporadas trae uva.


Mientras que Danitza es soltera y tiene 22 años, Danitza junto a sus padres tienen una cebichería llamado “El Zungaro”, Danitza se encarga de las ventas. Además Danitza estudia enfermeria en la universidad.


Donatilda, Digna y Danitza necesitan prestamos de 200 soles, 400 soles, 200 soles, dinero que será invertido en la compra de mango, uva, pan chapla, tuna, limón y pescado.


Los sueños de Donatilda, Digna y Danitza son tener un negocio más grande, incrementar capital, que sus hijos sean profesionales y independizarse.

Digna maintains her business of selling groceries and typical breads to different villages and travels to the city to sell fruit and other products. In the past few months her sales have been pretty stable. Digna has invested her loan of 400 Peruvian Nuevos Soles to purchase bread and her bed with 180 soles.

Meanwhile, Danitza continues her studies to become a nurse and helps her family in their ceviche (Peruvian traditional dish) restaurant. In the last few months they have added more tables to their ceviche restaurant. Danitza has invested her loan of 200 Peruvian Nuevos Soles to pay for her nursing school tuition.

Donatilda maintains her business of selling vegetables and fruit in the Nery García Market. Her sales have increased because she has stocked more products. Donatilda has invested her loan of 200 Peruvian Nuevos Soles to purchase onions at 0.50 soles (cents) and cauliflower at 20 soles a sack.
