The group leader of this small group is Aisha Kiconco. She is currently in the business of running a restaurant and is requesting a loan to add more furniture. Aisha is 39 years old and is a widow. She has 4 children ranging from age 12 to 20 and her children go to school. Each week, Aisha makes approximately UGX 50000 in profits and with the extra profits from her loan, she hopes to be able to buy building materials and also cater for her home. Aisha has taken a loan from BRAC Uganda before in the amount of UGX 400000 in order to invest in her business and the loan was paid back on time.

Aisha is joined in her small group by Nuru Namaganda, Suaya Namusoke, Louisa Nabukenya, and Hadija Nakiranda. Nuru Namaganda has a business selling matooke and wants to purchase in bulk. Suaya Namusoke is currently operating a restaurant business and wants a loan to buy more utensils, raw food and ingredients. Louisa Nabukenya operates a business selling clothes and wants to start a business selling shoes. Hadija Nakiranda is currently in the business of running a beauty salon and is requesting a loan to purchase a hair dryer and steamer.

In a group loan, each member of the group receives an individual loan but is part of a group of individuals bound by a group guarantee.
