Munakukama B Group

The group leader of this small group is Babirye Mukuba. She is currently in the business of selling maize and is requesting a loan to add to her business. Babirye is 47 years old and is a widow. She has 7 children ranging from age 5 to 20 and her children go to school. Each week, Babirye makes approximately UGX 10000 in profits and with the extra profits from her loan, she hopes to be able to educate her children and cater for her family. Babirye has taken a loan from BRAC Uganda before in the amount of UGX 300000 in order to invest in her business and the loan was paid back on time.

Babirye is joined in her small group by Beatrice Byeri, Okello Kyaterekera, Mawazi Nabirye, and Hawa Musubika. Beatrice Byeri has a business selling fish and tomatoes and wants to expand her fish business. Okello Kyaterekera is currently operating a drug shop business and wants a loan to add more stock. Mawazi Nabirye operates a business in tailoring and wants to purchase more cloth fabric. Hawa Musubika is currently in the business of running a beauty salon and is requesting a loan to purchase more hair chemicals.



About Group Loans
In a group loan, each member of the group receives an individual loan but is part of a group of individuals bound by a group guarantee.
