Ocheng Iii B Group

The group leader of this small group is Sarah Mukasa. She is currently in the stationery and secretarial services business and is requesting a loan to buy more stationery. Sarah is 47 years old and is a widow. She has 3 children ranging from age 19 to 26 and her children go to school. Each week, Sarah makes approximately UGX 65000 in profits and with the extra profits from her loan, she hopes to be able to pay the school fees for her children. Sarah has taken a loan from BRAC Uganda before in the amount of UGX 200000 in order to buy reams of papers and the loan was paid back on time.

Sarah is joined in her small group by Grace Tibaganya, Hajara Nakafero, Cathy Nalumansi, and Maria Kyagaba. Grace Tibaganya has a business in tailoring and wants to purchase a sewing machine. Hajajra Nakafero is currently operating a business in poultry keeping and wants a loan to renovate her chicken house. Cathy Nalumansi operates a business of poultry farming and wants to buy broiler chicks. Maria Kyagaba is currently in the business of poultry keeping and is requesting a loan to purchase chicken mash (feed).



About Group Loans
In a group loan, each member of the group receives an individual loan but is part of a group of individuals bound by a group guarantee.
