Yesuamala Ib Group

The group leader of this small group is Rose Nansereko. She is currently in the business of tailoring and is requesting a loan to purchase a sewing machine. Rose is 37 years old and is married. Her husband is a taxi driver. She has 4 children ranging from age 4 to 17 and her children go to school. Each week, Rose makes approximately UGX 38900 in profits and with the extra profits from her loan, she hopes to be able to cater for her children's needs. Rose has taken a loan from BRAC Uganda before in the amount of UGX 200000 in order to buy clothes and threads and the loan was paid back on time.

Rose is joined in her small group by Mary Nakabiri, Annet Nassuna, Zula Nabawesi, and Rashida Nagujja. Mary Nakabiri has a canteen business and wants to add to the business. Annet Nassuna is currently operating a restaurant business and wants a loan to purchase more furniture. Zula Nabawesi operates a business in poultry farming and wants to buy chicks. Rashida Nagujja is currently in the business of charcoal sales and is requesting a loan to purchase charcoal in bulk.

In a group loan, each member of the group receives an individual loan but is part of a group of individuals bound by a group guarantee.
