Yesuamala Ia Group

The group leader of this small group is Madina Namatovu. She is currently in the business of fresh food sales and is requesting a loan to expand business. Madina is 28 years old and is single. Each week, Madina makes approximately UGX 27000 in profits and with the extra profits from her loan, she hopes to be able to save them for future use. Madina has taken a loan from BRAC Uganda before in the amount of UGX 200000 in order to buy and trasport raw food from the villages to her stall and the loan was paid back on time.

Madina is joined in her small group by Alice Nakiwu, Harriet Ndibakuuma, Zula Nansubuga, and Khasifa Nanteza. Alice Nakiwu has a business running a beauty salon and wants to purchase a hair dryer. Harriet Ndibakuuma is currently operating a tailoring business and wants a loan to purchase a sewing machine. Zula Nansubuga operates a business selling clothes and wants to add stock to the business. Khasifa Nanteza is currently in the business of selling fresh food and is requesting a loan to purchase more food to sell.

In a group loan, each member of the group receives an individual loan but is part of a group of individuals bound by a group guarantee.
