Iva is an agricultural village on the rural island of Savaii in Samoa. When South Pacific Business Development (SPBD) recently opened a branch in Salelologa, the capital town of Savaii, the group noticed the new office, which is very near the town market. One of them visited the office, made inquiries and scheduled a meeting with SPBD at their village. She gathered all of the requirements and started sharing the exciting news about the possibility of getting a loan to improve their farms. The members attended four weekly SPBD training sessions and are now ready to apply for loans for their farms to improve their production and increase their respective incomes.
