Since 1984, Rashid, together with some of his group members, has been going as far as Masindi, Tanzania, in search of business. They are involved in buying goats, cows, and sheep for sale in Busaana, their hometown. From the way things are going, they are in business but only with the boost given by loans, which they have been getting for 3 years now. The rest of the members each have businesses of their own. Rashid is 34 years old and married with 13 children, as he cares for 3 children that belong to his late brother.

journal Entrepreneur: Rashid Kakuye's Group Location: Busaana, Uganda Rashid Kakuye 34 is a member of Bwavu Mpologoma women’s group in Busaana. He is involved in a business of buying goats, cows, and sheep for sale from as far as Tanzania and from various districts of Uganda for over twenty years. He buys the animals cheaply and sells at a profit which is good for his trade. Rashid is also a farmer having maize, beans and banana plantations that are mostly managed by his wife since he is always on the move. He sells the produce to traders but will always hold his produce for a better price. This has enabled him to get some good income, care for his big family’s needs as he repays his loans promptly.
