Mrs. Yon Phalla is teacher at Check Agre secondary school, while her husband, Mr. Chhan Vathan, is motorcycle taxi driver. To increase her family's income, In February 2008, Mrs. Phalla requested a loan US$1100 in order to build a fifteen-room house that she can rent to customers and mostly her customers is garment workers.

After receiving the loan, Phalla is only able to build eight rooms for rent to customers. She can get benefit 20.00US$ per month in per room, in past 15.00 US$ per month. This condition she can sustain her family’s living payment adequately and save times for her investment.

Currently, she faces difficulty with the cost of using water and electricity because of increasing price. For her plan in the future, Phalla purposes to buil more rooms for rent and purchase a motorcycle for her children go to study, and repairing her home. She is paying back as on the schedule. Ms. Yon Palla's latest news. She is currently earns more than $2 a day as secondary school teacher and her husband $2.5-3 as motor taxi driver. And now rental housing business goes well. She said the biggest impact of the loan is learning to save money in her account of HKL. It totally changed life style. Furthermore, she wants to save more money to prepare for her son's university expense.
