She is 48 years old and has had a drug shop business at her home for 20 years, while she has been our client for 9 years. On top of this business, she also has a charcoal trading business, as well as a business selling spare car parts that she co-owns with her son-in-law. Her loan is to help her buy more drugs and buy more charcoal for sale.

Harriet Nakimbugwe works so hard for her grand children’s better life. She has had a drug shop business at her home for 20 years and she is proud of seeing her businesses grow, what an achievement. She has been our client for 9 years from which she was able to work with her daughter and her son-in-law for a joint business of selling charcoal and car spare parts. In the drug shop, she sells medicines to the local community for mostly illnesses related to malaria like chloroquine, fansidar, septrine, mabendazole, panadol, and other antibiotics and she is a great help to her people since going to the big Government hospitals is a long distance and most would prefer going their for major illnesses. She is able to make a weekly income of $100 enabling her to repay her loans promptly. The joint businesses were an initiative by the son-in-law to cater for his children that stay most of the time with their grand mother.
