Loan Update Entrepreneur: Mak Neang Location: Prey Veng Province, Cambodia Mak Neang, 46, lives with her husband and five of her eight children in Prey Veng, Cambodia. Mak is a farmer, and her husband rears pigs. Mak asked for a loan to buy materials to renovate her house. A CREDIT MFI loan officer recently visited Mak to check on her progress. After receiving her loan, Mak said she spent the money purchasing fruit to resell at the market. She said that she was able to make a modest increase in income. She made no mention of the housing project. In the future, Mak hopes to take out more loans to improve her businesses. When asked, Mak said she was thankful to CREDIT for its good service, and to Kiva lenders for supporting her loan.
