Kavule A Group

The leader of this small group is Josephine Mulumba. She is currently in the business of livestock farming and is requesting a loan to add a piggery and poultry business. Josephine is 48 years old and married. Her husband is a businessman. She has 5 children ranging in age from 24 to 30, and her children go to school.

Josephine has taken a loan from BRAC Uganda before, in the amount of UGX 500000 (~ $290 USD), to invest in her business, and she paid the loan back on time.

Josephine is joined in her small group by Eliyosi Batogole, Harriet Naluwebe, Nowe Kasozi, and Jamira Nalweyiso. Eliyosi Batogole has a hardware business and wants to increase her stock. Harriet Naluwebe has a business selling firewood and wants a loan to add to her business. Nowe Kasozi operates a poultry business and wants to buy more chicks. Jamira Nalweyiso sells matooke (plantain bananas) and is requesting a loan to purchase more matooke from the village to sell.
