Marach D(vii) Group

The leader of this small group is Madina Nakayenje. She is currently selling matooke and is requesting a loan to expand her business. Madina is 43 years old; her husband owns a retail shop. She has 6 children ranging from age 6 to 23 and her children go to school. Each week, Madina makes approximately UGX 60000 in profits and with the extra profits from her loan, she hopes to be able to pay school fees for the children Madion has taken a loan from BRAC Uganda before in the amount of UGX 400000 in order to invest in her business, and the loan was paid back on time.

Madion is joined in her small group by Salea Zaituni and Amisi Nanvwa. Salea Zaituni has a restaurant and wants a loan to buy more furniture and food warmers. Amisi Nanvwa is currently selling rice and wants a loan to expand her business.



About Group Loans
In a group loan, each member of the group receives an individual loan but is part of a group of individuals bound by a group guarantee.
