María de la Luz started to sell cosmetics by catalogue 10 years ago in order to help her husband raise their 4 children. Her three eldest children are married, so she only has to support her youngest, who is a student. Nevertheless, she recently became a widow, which is why María continues with her business now that she has bills to pay and a child to raise on her own. María does not want to be a burden on her other children, and while they do help her out a bit, they cannot pay for everything she needs.

However because María has been in the business for many years, she has accumulated an extensive list of customers. Her only problem is that she has received many orders that she cannot fill due to lack of funds. Hace 10 años que María de la Luz comenzó a vender cosméticos por catálogo, para ayudarle a su esposo a pagar los gastos de sus 4 hijos. Actualmente tres de ellos (los mayores) ya están casados y ella mantiene sólo al más pequeño quien está estudiando. Sin embargo hace poco que enviudó, y es por eso que María sigue con su negocio, puesto que necesita dinero para poder pagarle los gastos a su hijo y los de la casa puesto que María no desea ser una carga para sus hijos, a pesar de que éstos la ayudan poco, no pueden pagarle todo lo que ella necesita.

Sin embargo María por tener muchos años en este negocio ya cuenta con una cartera grande de clientes. Pero el problema que tiene es que ya le han hecho varios pedidos que María no a podido surtir por no tener dinero suficiente, es por eso que está solicitando un crédito de US $700 que está dispuesta a pagarlos en un plazo de 6 meses y con este dinero podrá comprar la mercancía que le están solicitando.
