Véronique AHIATOR was born in Tsévié in 1976. She finished middle school in Aného before returning to her hometown. No longer able to continue her education due to a lack of support, she trained as a seamstress. But with her instinct for business, she soon started buying and selling colorful traditional cloths between Togo and Côte d’Ivoire. Although the crisis in Côte d’Ivoire ended her business, she adroitly made use of the situation to start up her dressmaking shop again, which she calls «Dieu Est Grand», or God Is Great. Mrs. AHIATOR is the second wife of her husband, a medical assistant. Her husband is polygamous, irresponsible, and hardly bothers with the family. So everything rests on her shoulders.

Mrs. AHIATOR would like to add to her dressmaking business to boost her income. To do this, she is requesting a loan of $950 to buy a sewing machine, some traditional cloths, and boutique materials. The success of her plans will clearly augment her income and allow her to improve the living conditions for her two children and her little sister.
