Port Sithat

Port Sithat was not home when we went to visit her for the second time.  Her neighbor told us that she is getting medical training in Vietnam.  We did see that she has added quite a big area to the back of her house.  We took a picture for you.  The darker grey area in the back is the addition. 

Port Sithat is a very good business woman and this loan has greatly helped her. With the loan she expanded her home and started a furniture shop with her nephew. The furniture shop is in a province called Ratanakiri which is very far from her home in Phnom Penh. Her nephew manages the shop while she is gone, and she travels back and forth. She purchased wood and got the shop set up with the loan. She said that the furniture business is going very well, and they are very happy with the increased income it has brought the family. They are also very happy that they have been able to expand their home, and it even allows them to store some of the materials for their business within their home until she can make the trip to the shop. In the future Port Sithat would like to be able to send her children to university. She is very happy to have been able to get this loan. She said that before she was able to get loans she used to be poor, but now that she can get loans she has been able to pull her family out of poverty. She said thank you for the loan and for helping her.
