Ana Fortuna, Nieves and Sabina have been members of the community bank “Prosperidad” for 9, 8, and 12 years respectively. All of the women are very happy with their experience in the community bank. They say that the community bank helps them to be self-sufficient. Through the community bank they have learned to save and run their businesses more efficiently as well as finding companionship.
And Fortuna is 42 years old and has three children aged: 14, 9, and 6. She runs a school supply store from her house. She has had this store for the past five years. Before that she rented VHs tapes. When tapes became less popular Ana was able to take out a loan from her bank and start a new business.
Nieves is 53 years old and has four adult children and four who have passed away. She raises animals and sells them at the markets. She has been doing this all of her life.
Sabina is 47 and has three living children who are 28, 25, and 19. Three of her children have passed away. Sabina travels around the region buying grains at various markets and then sells them in Ayacucho. She has been doing this for the past eight years.
Ana Fortuna, Nieves, and Sabina need loans of 200, 300, and 350 dollars respectively. Ana needs to go to Lima to buy supplies and prepare for the upcoming school year. Sabina hopes to expand her business with the loan. Both she and Nieves would buy animals.
They all dream of a better life and a successful business. Ana dreams of sending her oldest child to medical school. Nieves hopes to open a second stand, and Sabina wants to continue expanding her merchandise and make sure that her children receive an education.

Nives, Ana Fortunata pertenecen al Banco Comunal Prosperidad.

Nieves es casada, tiene 52 años y 4 hijos, Nieves compra gallinas, cuyes en el paradero final de las empresas de transportes, posteriormente lo vende en el mercado 12 de abril. Además Nieves vende gelatinas y canchas. Nieves obtuvo un préstamo de 800 soles, dinero que fue invertido en la compra de gallinas y cuyes, en los últimos meses sus ventas mejoraron y esta ahorrando para los estudios de sus hijos.

Por otro lado Ana es casada, tiene 42 años y 3 hijos, Ana tiene una librería ubicada en la plaza principal de la ciudad de Ayacucho, donde brinda servicios de fotocopiado. Además Ana tiene una granja de crianza de cuyes que son vendidos en las ferias y reparte a restaurantes. En los últimos meses sus ventas mejoraron porque surtió con más productos y mejoro su casa. Ana obtuvo un préstamo de 600 soles, dinero que fue invertido en la compra de papel y cuadernos.

Mientras que Sabina no pudo asistir a la reunión de su Banco Comunal.
