Metanet is an Internally Displaced Person from Fizuli region located in the south-east part of Azerbaijan. She and her family were relocated to Baku as a result of Armenian-Azerbaijan military conflict over Garabakh. She now lives in an university dormitory with her husband (also pictured) and three children. She trades fruit and vegetables near the dormitory, a business that she and her husband started in 1994 when he moved to Baku with a loan of $300 from Normicro Baku bank. Today, they buy goods from wholesalers that bring goods from regions and sell to retailers in the big markets. Now they need a loan of 1200 AZN to increase working capital. 1000 AZN will be funded by Kiva, and the remaining 200 AZN will be funded by Normicro. She has had a total of 6 loans, all of which she has paid back on time.
