Loan Update

Entrepreneur: Khim Kim Thorn
Location: Kampong Cham Province, Cambodia

Khim Kim Thorn, 52, lives with her husband and five children in Kampong Cham, Cambodia. Khim raises pigs, and her husband is a farmer. Khim requested this loan to buy more pigs.

A CREDIT MFI loan officer recently visited Khim to check on her progress. After receiving her loan, Khim bought a grass-cutting machine to help with her husband's farm. She said they have been able to increase their total yield (and therefore, income) with their investment. Although she is pleased with the result, Khim finds it hard to be in debt, and plans to stop taking loans now that she has finished repaying this one. Khim plans to expand her current business by buying more pigs, and investment she put off until later because she felt it would help the family more if they bought a machine instead of pigs.

When asked, Khim said she was thankful to CREDIT for its good service, and to Kiva lenders for supporting her loan.
