Martha owns a small stand that sells chickens to the public. She learned the business from her parents and has been in this line of work for over 15 years. Although she earns money from this business and her husband has a humble but stable salary they are often short of money and do not have enough to invest in her business. With the loan money Martha plans to invest in more products and better tools. Currently she begins work at 6 a.m. and usually dedicates 16 hours a day to her business.

Mifex and Martha Ayllon would like to thank the lenders who have provided capital that gives entrepreneurs the opportunity to expand their businesses. This $500 loan is the first step to financial independence and growth in developing economies in Guayaquil, Ecuador. Mifex is run and operated by Stanford University graduates and their local experts in Ecuador with work experience at the US Agency for International Development, the Ecuadorian Bank of Development, and Development Alternatives, Inc.

On April 1st, 2006 Mrs. Pollo received its loan and will use it to increase inventory and acquire tools that enable them to conduct business more effectively. Martha received her loan in her home while she was preparing for the next days work. Her husband was pleased to see his wife receive the loan and hopes that this can help attain more products and newer utensils.

Martha, agradece a Kiva por el crédito que fue entregado, esta  muy contenta que lo visiten para saber como le ha ido en su negocio, normalmente esto no ocurre, con el préstamo entregado adquirió mas mercaderías y con el pago de contado esto le permite vender mas y ganar mas, le ha ayudado mucho los ingresos generados por el crédito esta es la época que mas se gasta por que tengo que atender las necesidades de atención escolar dice Martha, por el inicio de claces, ella requiere en el futuro le sigan apoyando esto le permitirá una constancia de mayores ingresos para la familia lo que le permite mejorar la calidad de Vida.
