Proeung Neang

Proeung Neang, 52, lives with her husband and six children in Kampong Cham, Cambodia. Proeung sells scallops and octopus, and her husband farms. Proeung requested this loan so she could expand her inventory and buy a motorcycle.

A CREDIT MFI loan officer recently visited Proeung to check on her progress. After receiving her loan, Proeung bought more oysters to sell, and paid for a better stand in the market. She said that her business has grown as a result, and she makes more money that she did before. She spent part of the loan on her husband's farm, and his output has increased as well.

In the future, Proeung and her husband want to expand the farm by planting fruit trees. They said they will take out another loan to do so.

When asked, Proeung said she was thankful to CREDIT for its good service, and to Kiva lenders for supporting her loan.
