Su negocio está ubicado en el distrito de Bellavista, provincia de Bellavista departamento de San Martín.

El reciente préstamo que recibió del Movimiento Manuela Ramos de S/. 2,500.00 ( $ 620.00 ) lo pagará en 6 cuotas, con este préstamo comprará más materiales para la confección de los aretes, pulseras y collares, tales como mostacillas, cuentas, perlas de colores, los mismos que adquiere en paquetes, además de los alambres e hilos necesarios para la confección de sus joyas.

Update! Entrepreneur: Rosa Katy Ruiz Montalvan Location: Bellavista - San Martin, Peru Rosa invested all of her loan in buying new materials to make jewelry and teach jewelry making. Some of these materials include special jewelry making tools and catalogs she sells to her students and of course all of the beautiful beads, thread, gold, and silver she uses to create her earrings, necklaces, and bracelets. Rosa loves her business and is happy she has the opportunity to support her family financially. Rosa says that there is a high demand for her service and she is thankful Kiva and Manuela Ramos provided her with the loan so she could increase her inventory and provide a better service. In the future the ambitious Rosa would like to own a space in the center of town where she can teach, sell, and manufacture jewelry, knitting, and cake decorating.

Los materiales para preparar sus productos los trae directamente de Lima (capital del Perú) a donde viaja dos veces al año donde los costos son menores y le permite también a ella ofrecer su mercadería a bajos precios. Sus ventas por este tiempo se mantienen, también confecciona carteras y zapatos tejidos con hilos que son muy requeridos por sus clientes especialmente mujeres de la localidad y comunidades aledañas, dado que ha aprendido a conocer las preferencias, vende aproximadamente S/ 100.00 diario, incrementándose este monto los días festivos. Rosa Katy tiene 35 años se muestra una persona muy responsable y jovial, vive con su esposo y sus dos menores hijos. Con las ganancias paga la educación de sus hijos y ayuda en los gastos del hogar, siente que poco a poco esta cumpliendo sus metas, está muy contenta por el progreso obtenido hasta hoy.
