Update on Khom Khoun

Entrepreneur: Khom Khoun
Location: Khsach Kandal District, Cambodia

Mrs. Khom is a weaver and she got married in 1999. Khom asked for a loan of $300 to purchase silk material and sewing thread, and pay for fees for selecting and preparing silk on her loom.

She managed to buy those materials from the market in Phnom Penh City which cheaper than buy from the middleman inside the village. Meanwhile, she sold the finish product in higher price as well. The income is really increase if compare to before loaned.

She uses most of income to pay for food, battery charge, and water fee and so on. In addition, Khom is able to purchase book, pencil, clothes and other materials necessary for her kid who are going to school everyday. She paid off early because her husband could collect much more money from his job as a construction worker.
