Ruth Maria has been selling kids', men's and women's clothing such as shirts, trousers, shorts, socks and towels etc for 14 years. She started by investing her savings of many years of $2,000, and with this she started to travel to the capital (Managua) to buy merchandise in bulk.

She started as a wandering merchant, walking through the streets of Leon with a suitcase full of clothes, through the markets looking for clients. She had a huge desire to overcome her circumstances and decided to receive credit so that she could establish her business, and she rented a stall in Leon's central market.

Ruth has received 5 loans and has now been working with our organization for 14 months, and her testimony follows:

"Thanks to the great advice about managing my loans I have been able to move forward. My husband has not found a job so it is up to me to support our family and I do all I can so that my son can have a good education - he is the youngest but I hope he will overcome and become a professional. Each loan that I have received I have invested in increasing my merchandise with seasonal clothing."
