Update on Sa Em Rath

Entrepreneur: Sa Em Rath
Location: Muk Kampoul District, Cambodia

Mrs. Sa Em has been married in 1995 and has two children. In November, 2007 she applied for a loan of $100 to buy silk material and sewing thread.

Sa Em was able to buy silk and sewing thread in a lowers price due to the transaction is in cash, so the finished goods were actually low cost and at the end she could earn higher profit margin. The income from silk producing is enough to fulfill the family’s basic needs such as food, rice, cloth, water fee….etc. The previous repayment the principal and interest was fine and at the end she paid off the loan.
