Wilson, 29, takes care of his young daughters and his elderly mother. The family runs a small poultry farming business.

Wilson is a professional and efficient taxicab driver. He has been in business for the last four years. He drives his taxicab in Lugazi Town, off the Kampala –Jinja Road. At the moment, he is employed by the car owner. He is supposed to pay the day’s collection to the owner of the car. The car owner decides how much Wilson can have for the day. This makes life very difficult for Wilson in that he earns very little.

Wilson says a number of tourists come to visit the natural forest called Mabira and the waterfalls of the Nile River. This creates high demand for taxicab transport for tourists and local businessmen.

Wilson is asking for $1200 to purchase his own taxicab. SAO MFI will make up the difference in the cost of the car. This loan would give him a secure job, and the family would be happy together without money worries.
