Robert, 29, has two children, a boy, 6, and a girl, 3. He runs a motorcycle transportation business, commonly known as boda-boda transport. For four years, Robert and his wife sold roasted chicken, fruits, and drinks on the Kampala – Mbale (Najjembe) highway. He noticed an untapped opportunity in the business of transporting local buyers and their goods. He rented a motorcycle and tried the business. For the last six months, he has realized a better income, though part of that goes to the owner of the motorcycle. Rental fees take a significant part of the income.

He is asking for $1200 to purchase a new motorcycle. The loan will be repaid in twelve months.
