Nilda Delvalle Pinto is the single mother of 3-year-old daughter Jazmin. They live in Luque, Paraguay. She has been a client of the Fundación Paraguaya since 2002 when she was granted a loan of Gs. 800.000 or the equivalent of $160. Before opening her store she was a shopkeeper at a store selling Korean goods. With her money she bought a sizable space in a large local market in Asunción. From here she sells wallets, purses, jewelry and accessories. She has had this space for two years and invested much time and money into maintaining it well. Nilda is a born fighter and her indomitable spirit has brought her success. Also, thanks to the help of the Foundation, Nilda was able to buy a car as well as build her own house in Luque, an area just outside of the Capital. Nilda continues to move forward. Since January 2007 she has been able to open another branch of her store in Luque, closer to her home. Now she is seeking a new loan in order to purchase large quantities of merchandise, which includes wallets, purses and jewelry.
