Van Nan

Thank you for your loan. It has been disbursed to Van Nan by CREDIT MFI -- World Relief in Cambodia. We are excited to watch this business grow. Over the next 18 - 24 months, CREDIT MFI -- World Relief will be collecting repayments from this entrepreneur and posting progress updates on the Kiva website.

Mrs. Van Nan, aged 49, works with her husband buying rice crops to mill and resell to a market-wholesaler. On the October 2007, she took out a loan of US$1000 to expand her business. She had expanded her rice stock to mill then resell it and she also purchase more pigs and its feed as well. She has been pleased with the results of her investments and can see her business growing. She said that the average of the income that she earns currently is increased than the past day. Currently, she earns a combine around US$7.50 of profit each day. With the increased profit, she is able to breed more pigs and purchase more food for pigs, too. With the repayment, she has no problems paying to the Credit MFI. She said before she know Credit, she used to loan from her relatives but without interest and sometime she sells her pigs to take the money to reinvest on her business. She also concern on her livestock because her pigs sometime die because of the disease. Moreover, the inflation is also the main points who contribute to decrease her daily income as well, anyway, she still happy with the loan.

Again, she states that the loan is very useful as it is provide a chance to all poor entrepreneurs to start and sustain their businesses. Finally, she would like to say thanks to all lenders for interest helping Cambodian entrepreneurs like her family.
