Julia Marina Arroyo De Gonzales

Before becoming a member of the Communal Bank “Manos Unidas,” she depended solely on the money that her husband earned at his job. With the first loan of 300 soles (approximately $100) that she received, she asked her daughter to send her costume jewelry from Lima and she began to sell them as a street vendor in all of Paiján. Later with her earnings and with other loans that she received from the Communal Bank she bought a larger quantity of jewelry, as well as men’s clothing and women’s lingerie. She rents a stall in the Tambo de Piján market and is dedicated to the sale of her products.

Due to the death of her husband, she returned to live in Puerto Malabrigo. She now has put a small shop in her house and, in addition, when she travels to Lima to buy merchandise she brings some products such as “King Kones” and shoes to sell to her suppliers.

With the loan of 2,000 soles (approximately $667) that she receives from Manuela Ramos, which will be paid in four months, she will be able to reinitiate this new business and supply the store. She dreams of buying a store in a mall.

La señora Julia tiene 48 años de edad, actualmente vive en Pto. Malabrigo en el Distrito de Rázuri en la Provincia de Ascope del Departamento de La Libertad; tiene 3 hijos, ninguno depende de ella, ya son mayores de edad y le ayudan a cubrir algunos gastos. La señora Julia estudió secundaria completa.

Antes de ingresar al Banco Comunal “Manos Unidas” ella dependía sólo del dinero que ganaba su esposo en el trabajo, con el primer préstamo que recibe de S/.300 ($ 100 aprox.) le pide a su hija que le envíe de Lima joyas de fantasía y empieza a venderlas como ambulante en todo Paiján, posteriormente con sus ganancias y con los otros préstamos que recibe en su Banco Comunal compró mayor cantidad de joyas así como ropa de hombre y ropa interior de dama, alquila un puesto en el mercado el Tambo de Piján y se dedica a la venta de sus productos.

Debido a que falleció su esposo regresó a vivir al Puerto Malabrigo, ahora ha puesto un pequeño bazar en su casa pero además cuando viaja a Lima a comprar mercadería lleva algunos productos de la zona como king kones y zapatos para venderlos a sus proveedores.

Con el reciente préstamo recibido de Manuela Ramos de S/. 2,000.00 ($ 667 aprox.) el cual será pagado en 4 meses, podrá re-iniciar este nuevo negocio y surtir el bazar. Sueña con comprar una tienda en un centro comercial.
