Antonio Oviedo

Mr. Antonio Oviedo, 67 years old, lives with his wife Felicia Mendoza de Oviedo in Cerrito de Carapeguá, Paraguay. The couple has three grown children. Mr. and Mrs. Oviedo sell bedspreads and embroidered quilts, all hand-made by Mrs. Oviedo. They use a mobile stand to sell their wears and can be found in a new location daily.

Mr. Oviedo remarks that at times his work can be quite risky and frequently exposes him to danger. Unfortunately, in an incident not too long ago, he fell victim to robbery and assualt, which cost him all of his merchandise and the money he had earned that day.

With some luck and hard work, Mr. Oviedo, has been able to move forward. In addition to selling bedding, he also has a job feeding and caring for animals. With the little money he receives from this second job and the help of his children he is back on his feet. His business is on the right path again. He reports that he has been able to improve his daily life through this small endeavor and is more than happy to be able to do so.

Mr. Oviedo is requesting a loan with which to buy yarn and dye.
