Olga Duré

Olga Dure, 46 years old, is married with two children, ages 18 and 20. She lives with her husband in Mariano Roque Alonso. One of her daughters is studying to be a kindergarten teacher and the other is still in high school. In the past, Olga worked as a secretary for a local high school called “Fe y Alegria” (Faith and Happiness). After many years, the school was forced to let her go. However, Olga was lucky enough to receive some severance pay. With this money Olga decided to open her “librería”, a shop selling school supplies, notebooks, pens, pencils and other office necessities. She began by selling these items out of her house, but after one year of business felt she was able to build a shop across from her house.

Her dream is that people will regard her store as the best of its kind, always well-stocked with whatever they need, so they can get what they want when they want. She has already established many clients in her community, mostly from the three high schools in her zone. The loan she has requested would allow her to keep her business healthy and growing.
