Luisa Julia Lopez Espejo

Luisa is 56 years old and she completed high school. She lives in the Salpo district, Otuzco province, Liberty state. She has only one son that depends on her. Today she buys basic necessities in Trujillo and also from some carriers that arrive at her locale to supply her store. She also has other businesses: a restaurant, she rents rooms, showers, and bathrooms.

Thanks to the invitation of a friend she joined the Communal Bank "Virgen de las Mercedes," and with the first loan from Manuela Ramos of 200 soles (approximately $96) she bought rice, sugar, and oil in small quantities. She noticed also that the workers in this area didn't have a place where they could meet some of their basic needs; so she decided with the next loans to open a resaturant called "La Amistad" (Friendship), and she arranged her house to rent rooms and bathroom services; recently she installed a phone booth business too.

With the current loan from Manuela Ramos of 2300 soles (approximately $767), which will be paid in 6 installments, she will buy 6 beds for the bedrooms and more cell phones for the phone service. Luisa is President of the Mothers Club and belongs to the community health support committee. She dreams of buying a small van to be able to transport the merchandise that she buys outside her district and she hopes to improve the rooms of her house to meet the expectations of whomever wishes to use her facilities, in other words to offer greater convenience and customer service.

La señora Luisa tiene 56 años de edad y estudió secundaria completa. Vive en el distrito de Salpo de la Provincia de Otuzco del Departamento de La Libertad, tiene solo un hijo que depende de ella. Actualmente compra productos de primera necesidad en la provincia de Trujillo y también a algunos transportistas que llegan al lugar para surtir su bodega. Paralelamente tiene otro negocio de restaurante, alquiler de habitaciones, de duchas y servicios higiénicos.

Gracias a la invitación de una amiga se integró al Banco Comunal “Virgen de las Mercedes”, con el primer préstamo recibido de Manuela Ramos de S/. 300.00 (aproximadamente $96) compró arroz, azúcar, aceite en pocas cantidades. Observó también que los trabajadores de la zona no tenían un lugar donde puedan satisfacer algunas de sus necesidades; así que decide con sus siguientes préstamos abrir un restaurante llamado “La Amistad”, y arregla su casa para alquilar habitaciones y servicios higiénicos; recientemente a emprendido el negocio de locutorio.

Con el reciente préstamo otorgado por Manuela ramos de S/.2,300.00 ($ 767 ) el mismo que será cancelado en 6 cuotas, comprará 6 camas para las habitaciones y más celulares para el locutorio. La señora Luisa López es Presidenta del club de Madres y pertenece al comité de apoyo del centro de salud.. Sueña con comprar una camioneta pequeña para poder transportar la mercadería que compra fuera de su distrito y desea mejorar las habitaciones de su casa para cubrir las expectativas de cualquier persona que desea el servicio, es decir brindar mayor comodidad.
