Ali has been working with Al Majmoua for nearly 15 years now. In the village of Al Ain in Lebanon’s Bekaa Valley, Ali owns a automobile repair shop along with his two brothers, and Ali explained to us that the loans from Al Majmoua have allowed him to continually restock his supply of auto parts. Ali has operated his garage with his brothers for 30 years now, and says that they have been so successful because everyone in the town trusts the quality of their work. Ali’s last loan, disbursed by Al Majmoua and supported by Kiva lenders like you, is almost completely repaid, and he plans on taking out a new loan upon its repayment. In addition to expanding his stock, the loan also helped to pay for the school fees for Ali’s children, and gas to heat his house during the winter. Two of his four children still live with Ali and his wife, his daughter is married, and his son works in the Lebanese army. Ali is grateful for the opportunity provided him by Al Majmoua and Kiva.
