Giselle sells pork feet- but in this photo, taken at only 2pm in the afternoon, she is all sold out for the day! For over five years, she’s had a table at the Selmer Market in the Yopougon District of Abidjan. She purchases in bulk each morning, and was quite happy about selling out early, leaving her the rest of the day to relax and enjoy the company of her friends while they still continued their sales.

Giselle took one loan from AE&I on 10/1/07 for 100,000 CFA. She reimbursed this loan over a period of two months, plus interest for a total of 117,000 CFA. She used the loan to purchase a larger shipment of pork feet, so as to increase her daily sales quantity. At this point she is not planning to take a second loan from AE&I.
