Yolanda

Doña Yolanda is a brave and hard-working woman who learned knitting and embroidery on her own 38 years ago by watching others. She has been doing these manual activities from her home, even more so since her husband's death 14 years ago. Since that time, she alone has supported her five children and finds in them strength and motivation.

Year after year, Yolanda has searched for ways to increase her income, and this had led her to develop her culinary skills; she now offers these services on a seasonal basis. Her wish is to continue supporting her children and increase the family's quality of life, so she is requesting this loan of $200 to purchase raw materials and supplies for her knitting business.

Doña Yolanda es una mujer valiente y esforzada, hace 38 años aprendió a tejer y bordar sola, gracias a su habilidad visual; desde siempre desarrolló estos trabajos manuales en las instalaciones de su hogar y se acentúa aún más tras fallecer su esposo hace 14 años. Desde entonces mantiene a sus 5 hijos, y encuentra en ellos su fuerza y motivación diaria. Año tras año, Yolanda ha buscado muchas formas de generar ingresos adicionales y esto hizo que adquiera habilidades para la cocina ya que en ciertas temporadas ofrece sus servicios.Anhela seguir apoyando a sus hijos y por eso solicita un préstamo de 200 dólares para comprar insumos con los que seguirá tejiendo prendas para incrementar la calidad de vida de su familia.
