Heang Chay Eng

Thank you for your loan. It has been disbursed to Heang Chay Eng by CREDIT MFI -- World Relief in Cambodia. We are excited to watch this business grow. Over the next 15 - 21 months, CREDIT MFI -- World Relief will be collecting repayments from this entrepreneur and posting progress updates on the Kiva website.

Heang Chay Eng requested a loan of US$600 to purchase more recycling items for her husband's business to help expand his inventory. She has seen his income increase from US$5 to US$8 per day with this loan and she is very pleased with its results. Her husband has seen his customer base grow the family enjoys having some extra profits to both continue expanding the business and also help to increase their food consumption.

Heang Chay Eng had loaned from a private lender at a high interest rate prior to borrowing from CREDIT. She first heard about the low interest rate and quality service that CREDIT provides, through a promotion in her village and she has appreciated the financial assistance that she has received. Her husband is currently facing many competitors in his business, so it is difficult to find customers, however, the family has been repaying the loan on time each month.

There are no future plans yet to take out another loan, but if Heang Chay Eng sees a need in her family, she will not hesitate to turn to CREDIT again.
