Tafaimaa is new to the programme: she is borrowing her first loan of US$300. This first loan will help her start her Pop Corn business. One of her kids works at Amau, and his income financially supports the entire family. Tafaimaa plans to sell Pop Corn at the Church Building during the Bingo games and also at a school during school days. One bag will be sold for 1 tala (US$0.40), and Tafaimaa hopes to sell fifty bags a day and earn US$100 a week. She is very proud to run her own business and will use the first loan to purchase the necessary initial supplies.

The loan officer who is in charge of her center says Tafaimaa is a very good member. She repays her loan on time, always attends her weekly meetings. She has used her loans to purchase for her business. She is an inactive member of Sagafili centre. This woman was a good member, she paid off all her loan before she left the centre and the program.
